My truck developed a wonderful symptom earlier this week. It's an 03 6.0. It seems to run smooth at idle and under no or little acceleration, but if I try to accelerate moderately, it sounds like it develops a miss. I swear if it had spark plugs I'd change them. I've been running an innovative street tune for about 25000 miles, so I returned to stock. The problem seems to be a little less severe (perhaps from less fuel demand). The engine also runs better after it's been run a while.

I'm suspecting a fuel delivery issue, but I don't quite know where to start. Any help would be appreciated. I'm dreading fixing this one...

injectors i would say...do you drain your fuel separator every oil change, do you change fuel filter(s) every second oil change? do you change oil on schedule?these are the 2 major factors in injector life. i have basically same problem but contaminated fuel and have to do all 8.which all 8 should be done usually when 1 goes rest are not far behind.
