Been a bit since I posted on here, but I recently swapped sticks to Full Force reman stage 1 (180/stock) single shots and am running a php hydra with tunes from FFD for single shots. I have drove 70 something miles after the install. I am having a rough idle...kind of chugging...like its not running on 8 cylinders. I jnplugged each injector one at a time and each one made it run rougher. I did have a buzz test done and a contribution test done. Buzz test was good but cont. test showed #5 fail. However, as stated previously, it made the engine run rougher when unplugged, so it seems that the #5 injector is working. Here's another thing. I went cheap on gaskets and bought Dormans. I swapped them back out to my old Motorcraft ones and no change. Could this be a tune thing?? The truck runs good driving down the road, but idles terrible. Sounds like a gasser with a big cam in it. I wiped the Hydra clean and only programmed a 65 hp Daily Driver tune on it to simplify things. Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem? I dont have AE or anything to look at ICP or IPR bur I unplugged the ICP to see if it smoothed out but it didnt.

The air bleeds out as you drive it. You should be fine air wise. I went with FFD Stage 2s on my truck and she runs like a champ with Gearhead single shot tuning however I did have a hiccup with my Hydra chip once where I had to wipe it clean and reload the tunes because I was having a very rough idle aswell. Your 65 HP tune is that for single shot? I'd recommend just trying to retune it.reach out to FFD and ensure you got the correct single shot tunes and there was no mistake. After I installed my injectors it took a couple hundred miles of driving before it would start and idle smoothly.
