Hey guys I just got my truck back from getting studded & deleted and some more stuff. Ive heard some people leave the egr valve in place and leave it connected electronically because if not it can affect the engine fan. I have it blocked off right now, should I put it back in?

I have mine cable tied to the alternator. It's your choice if you want it tied to the side or pul back into the intake, but either way plug it in electronically.

Put it back in and tie it up with tie straps.... otherwise you will shoot codes and things will get weird.... Very weird...

I ran mine with the egr valve in for a month or longer after deleting the cooler. I've been running it now 5 months or so with the valve removed and the sinister plate on it and I can tell absolutely no difference in the fan engaging or anything else

So best idea is just zip tie it somewhere in there and plug it in? Don't bolt it back into place?

That's a chance your willing to take. You might not notice any difference, but you would need a diagnostic scan tool like Ford's IDS or Autoengunuity to be sure your fan is reaching full RPM. Is it really worth the risk.

Myself and others had issues with the VGT vane sweep not working when the EGR valve is unplugged.

IMO, it's up to you on what you want to do. Either way is fine as long as it's plugged in electronically.

I left mine plugged in and in place. Why leave it dangling around in there with zip ties. Plus I like the sleeper look. Looks stock but she isn't. Lol. I have the sinister kit too with the sweet cap but I don't need any more zip ties under the hood, all the snow plow, hid, strobe lights make a huge mess with all them wires

Always loved the sleeper look, my whole truck looks stock but runs like a bat out of hell. Just bolted the valve back in about 20 minutes ago, well see if it makes a difference.

I'd leave in bolted in. It does not look messy, wont hurt any thing either.
I will say without having it plugged in my fan would not kick on fully, My turbo would sweep, and it popped three codes.
So where and how is up to you but keep it plugged in.

I would be funny to watch that thing work.

Glad this subject was brought up because I too have ran it without it for 8 months or so and never heard anything till I got new tunes about leaving it in and plugged or out and plugged in. With looney tune and not plugged in at all the turbo spooled faster than I have ever seen one spool up and egts were high. I put the valve in place and plugged in and completly changed how my turbo spooled up and lowered egts. The turbo spooled quick but worked its way up before unplugged it would hit 5 psi then bang right to 25 and wouldn't go down till i completely let off. So now got matts tunes and he told me to put in and plug it in. No problems but just curious why this is going on without the valve in place. Only thing didn't try yet was pulling it out and just plugging it in to see what happens.
