Questionable IDI Blow By & Performance

New to the site, not entirely sure how crucial formatting is. Recently bought a 1989 F250 that had a 94 IDI factory turbo swapped in. It’s set up with an RDT, but still sounds and puffs like a tea kettle out of the oil filler cap. I would delve into looking at issues with the RDT’s efficiency or the possibility of trashed rings, but it seems like a false positive. Engine power is by no means down, oil consumption is not excessive, and it has no issue with starting in the cold. I am aware the IDI’s and most Harvester diesels are designed to have noticeable blow by, but with how my great my luck typically is, I can’t help but be concerned about the health of the engine. I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
