Marc, I was wondering if any other years exhaust will fit an 06 CC SB 4X4. The Banks dealer said that if my truck has a cat ,Banks Monster exhaust will use it. I can get a cheater pipe if the run is straight and there is no flandge. Well as you know there is one.

My question is when did Ford start using cats, and would the prior years system still fit? Like will an 03 4 inch fit my truck from the turbo back?

If any of the vendors have a system that will work please feel free to post....if it is allowed.

Thanks for all the great advice you post here Marc,

Matt

All 6.0's should have a cat from the factory, and im not aware in any changes to the exhaust side of the turbo with the mid year 04 engine change, so i would think anything 03 and newer off a 6.0 should all be the same......

I'm running a Banks exhaust with a thru pipe( you basically are suppose to cut your stock cat down to fit between the new 4") it makes much more sense to me to just add a section of 4". Not knockin on Banks but you pay a lot more for thier exhaust and I've had the factory welds on 2 mufflers break so far, they warranty without question but its my dime that pays for 2-way shipping! OK!..maybe i'm knockin a little! Everyone I have talked to and a lot of guys here swear by MBRP exhausts...look up the guys at Discount Power Parts, they are one of our sponsors who i'm sure would be glad to help.(oops!)

Exhaust

Matt Muir,

03-06 6.0 systems are all the same. Typically most people when they buy our system they get the turbo back set up that retains the stock cat.
This gives them a new fully mandrel bent downpipe with the option of having the stock cat or getting the "test" pipe to remove it. This is full bolt on system that doesn't modify that cat so it can be removed or replaced easily if needed.
I'm sure if you contact one of the supporting vendors on this site they will hook you up.
