Hello everyone!

Well I'm rebuilding the motor in my 95 F250 and the topic of pushrod length came up with my machinist. This is not my first 7.3 rebuild, however this will be my first rebuild that has required a rather large amount to be removed from the deck and heads to bring them back to true.

So this brings me to my question. Just how far can the stock 10.25" length push rods/or lifter preload, be used until shorter pushrods will need to be used? I know this is a concern with 6.0L, and considering they both use the same lifters, its worth the ask. Im not looking to discuss details about my particular motor condition or anything of the like but rather some max/min clearance numbers that would start suggesting some shorter pushrods would be in order.
Thank you everyone!
