I have a set of BFG All-Terrains that I barely got 9,000 miles out of. I do 95% city driving. Stop and go, hard acceleration, hard braking, lots of cornering and turns, and some off roading. Also went through 3 sets of Wrangler AT/S in 30,000 since I got the truck until switching to the BFGs for hopes of getting more life out of them. I even went as far as rotating them every 2,000 and making sure I was always perfectly aligned. Its time for another set and I saw that ProComp advertises a 40,000 mile tread life warranty on their Xtreme All Terrains. I read through the warranty information but it didn't really say much. I don't see how I could possibly get 40,000 miles out of these tires? It there shot in say 20,000 will I get new tires at a pro-rated rate or what? Does anyone have any personal experience with these tires or the warranty? I am looking at 35X12.5R20 size?

9000 miles?

That seems very low. I would make sure that nothing is wrong with your truck first.

Can't help you with the warranty question though.

My last set of xterrains lasted around 15k. This set I'm at 13k and they're about half tread. They are 40x13.50x17. I've run nearly every brand of all terrain you can imagine on superduties. Ask any questions you might have. My experience:

Toyo open countries=great treadwear. I'd get them again in a heartbeat-39k

M/T baja claws=AWFUL. less than 10k

Super swamper TSL radials=mediocre-26k

Super swamper Iroks=sold them at 75 percent, but while towing I could physically watch the rubber wearing off of them in thin layers

x-terrains=loud, mileage varies. Unloaded they last, towing they go fast

Nitto mud grapplers=good, 33k

MTR's=20k, replaced at 25 percent due to size change

All these figures are based on mixed towing/loaded and unloaded driving, primarily highway. All tires were between 37" (MT baja claws) and 40" (x-terrains)

I bet that warranty is a PIA to use. But it's a nice piece of mind.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm surprised your Nitto's lasted that long. I've herd they wear pretty fast, guess it depends on your driving habits. Reguardless of the warranty I'm going with the Pro Comps. I've herd nothing but good about them. Thanks.
