Is there a difference? It is available at the pump at Kwik Trip. There is a $.04 difference in price per gallon that seems to be the only "visible" difference. Any of you guys seen this before?

Performance Fuels with extra power, reduced emissions, better mileage, faster cold weather starts and performance, environmental friendliness and other benefits which exceed industry premium diesel specifications.

Heres the differences between the two. The premium is the Gold diesel plus

I tend to notice better cold starts and slightly better MPG's with the plus in my truck
Actually, I have noticed that too. Well, I don't watch mpgs, but my cold starts are better and I feel like throttle response is tiny bit better.

Higher centane number explains both.

Mine starts nearly instantly with the gold plus and rev x fuel additive.

Damn thing barely makes a full revolution before it fires

No need, you guys have way better fuel than we do up here anyway.
Yeah way better.

I notice an instant 2mpg increase when I fill up down south

I was reading somewhere about this and according to the magazine the regular has a 45 cetane rating opposed to 50 like the other article said. And the premium stuff is all they have over in Europe, it doesn't apply to us but I thought it was interesting.

Europe has a 50 cetane minimum rating on their diesel fuel. Wish our govt would do that. But theyre stuck on a 40 cetane min with a bio blend mandate:mad:

I'd love to see 17 mpg.

Oh well, that reminds me, I should go fill the beast up. Dave, if your cab wasn't up in the air, I'd say you should make the trek down to Bryon on Saturday for the races. :taze:

Sorry man, I had to. :hehe:

Adam Dave's truck is done lol. We have premium ULSD here there is a BP distribution center here in town that I could fill up at. It's not much more expensive than normal as a matter of fact IIRC last time I drove by it was the same price as Speedway's regular ULSD.

Edit: Dammit Dave you Tree'd me.
