I think I've got an idea of what happened...

I just replaced my front rotors/brake pads last night and was turning the steering wheel from one extreme to the other with the truck on jack stands so I could have easy access to the caliper bolts. I just read that this can lead to a seal blowing on the power steering pump.

I've got red fluid all under my truck and the truck is whining whenever I turn the wheel. I'm guessing I blew out the seals on the power steering, can those seals be replaced or does the entire pump need to be replaced. How much is this going to cost me... :dunno:

If I've got to replace the entire pump, what's the easiest way to do it? Is there a write up on this? I've looked for one and can't find it.
