hey guys. im looking at a 2006 6.0 and i talked to someone at the dealership about it and they had this on record about it. does this sound like a head issue?

Turbo originally leaking oil. Replaced turbo center housing June 2008.
Hesitation when acceleration April 2010.
Lack of power august 15 2011. Rough running. Hard starting...

Hard to say. The bottom two descriptions could fit any number of symptoms with the 6.0L. I wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion that it is HG's though. It is likely something else, but you would need to verify it with a diagnostic scanner.

Is this a Ford dealership? Get the paperwork for what was just done to resolve the problem from April 15, 2011 and post it up here.

the file should be attached.
now i have a hard time undrstanding but the owner explained this to me. he took the truck in for one last check before the warenty runs out and for some reason the guys in the shop took a long time and brought the cost up. so he taked to the manager and they ended up "making up" this bill to cover the costs under warenty.

From the description, it sounds like the FICM has low voltage, but it doesn't appear that they even looked at that. Poor performing glow plugs COULD cause a hard start in cold weather, but August isn't exactly cold unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere... Do they offer a warranty with the purchase?

there is no warranty with the truck. atleast not on the engine.
is there a way that i can find out about the glow plugs of FCIM?

It certainly doesn't sound like head gaskets based on the attachment and what you have heard from the owner. It isn't the glow plugs, since they verified proper operation in the paperwork you attached. You can either have them check the FICM voltage using the Ford IDS tool or you can use a multimeter in the inspection cover. Here's a link to the procedure below.

great thank you verry much! if it is the FICM is that a big fix? expensive or take a mechanic?

No, not really. If you are comfortable with soldering electronics, you might be able to do it yourself. If not, you can have it done for a few hundred bucks. Just be aware that those symptoms describe a myriad of issues with the 6.0L engine. I would want to KNOW that those issues are fixed BEFORE I drop any money on it. Just my take on it.
