I own a 2003 f250 6.0 with a 06 6.0 diesel when I was driving I lost all electronics and gages when I got home I turned the truck off and when I tried to restart it it sounds like my batteries are dead with the click-click clicks I come back an hour later and try to restart it and fires up everything working and after a few minutes it does the same thing what could this be? a starter?

Sounds more like a bad connection somewhere to me.

I would start with a careful inspection of both ends of all the battery cables.

I learned alot while having my own issues. I would start by taking your batteries to be charged and tested to see if they are even good...unless they are somewhat new. And by that I mean within 6 months.
they are high quality and less than 2 months old

I will look tomorrow but the truck has been running well for a solid week with zero issues

Aannddd, ...it all works until it does not
Look at the cables and connections
also the grounds at the block and radiator mounting
also at the starter solenoid

Mine did exactly something like yours. It would start and not even five minutes later like a dead battery, boosted and I could go a week, a day then nothing. Cleaned grounds, changed alternator, ended up being bad one year old batteries. Maybe your alternator is malunctioning . On occasion if your alternator is hot or warm before starting your truck....it's on its way out.
