Hi Guys

Im new to this forum and decided to sign up cause yall seem down to earth ford truck guys :ford:.

I Have a 2005 Ford F-350 Dully, 4x4, 6.0 with just under 100k miles. I did the full bullet proof kit to it already, external oil cooler, heavier egr cooler, the whole 9 yards. I also Installed a cold air intake. Everything else is stock.

I want to get more towing and hauling power out of my truck. It really feels it on hills when Im pulling my trailer. I was eyeballing a banks power pack kit, but after reading a few threads on here, you guys go a better route than dropping in a $3k kit.

What can I do to my truck to get more power out of it? What do you guys suggest?

Since you've already done most of the regular maintenance stuff to increase reliability and a cold air intake to improve incoming air. I'd suggest looking into an aftermarket exhaust system and some custom tuning. A free flowing 4" exhaust with high flow muffler can help with efficiency and bring the EGT's down some. And some mild custom tuning will help with your overall drivability, turbo spool-up, fuel mileage, and of course power.

Let us know if we can help...

Just do not do the "some is good so more must be better" tuning, pick a tow tune that matches your load, and get a good monitor for temps etc.

We use the SCT X3 handheld tuner and write custom tunes specific for your application and uses. It will hold up to three performance tunes, most of our customer will order it with a Tow tune to fit their needs and our 80hp Economy tune for a daily driver and mileage tune.

I use the SCT with tunes from Eric at innovative my truck loves it. Also if your state allows it go with a turbo back exhaust with no muffler or cat.
