i have a 2001 f250 and my pcm went bad (code pmt2 dpc-422) and i got one out of a 2002-2003 truck that someone let me borrow. i dont remember the code on it but the water in fuel light stays on. is it ok to drive with it installed or should i just wait until i can order one that matches my truck exactly?

it my only set of wheels or i wouldnt consider it. just have to get to work on monday.

The dealer can "merry" the PCM to your truck so that it has the proper programing. At least that's what I was told.

If the truck is running fine and that is the only issue then I would say you are ok to drive on it but I would get the proper one as soon as you can. On a side note the PMT2 is the best you can get anyway and a lot of people replace their original ones with it.
