Hi, My dads truck pulled the code 1280 and all I can remember the scanner saying was "Fuel/Air Metering". He has a 2003 7.3L and the only mods are a Hypertech and a Magnaflow exhaust. Any help would be great!. thanks.

Could a biased ICP sensor, or shorted ICP. look at scan data, see if desired and actual close.
I just used my generic $100 mac scanner and all it really does is give you a code and a short discription, so I don't have any scan data available.

But I will look into the ICP (Injection Control Pressure sensor, right?) but I would rather not replace it if its not bad seeing as its about $170. Any ides how to know what it id for sure? Need to hook it to a better scanner i bet.

Thanks!

On the drivers side cylinder head, front, three wire connector, screws into the high pressure oil gallery on the cylinder head

If there is oil inside the wiring plug of the ICP it is bad. Easiest way to tell.

The ICP will not keep the truck from cranking, but will make it idle rough.
