^whs, the hypermax kit isn't a bad idea. You are looking at around 25k in parts no matter what. And I hope you are willing to spend another 10k on a block that will hold the power, you are looking at 1000+ hp fuel only with a p pump 7.3Modified cummins 8.3 injectors

why do people talk about things they know nothing about? What a waste of time to p-pump a 7.3. A cat pump is a much better option than a dinky cummins pump.
I know precisely what I"m talking about. I know that a rinky p-pump shouldn't be on a 7.3l v8... which is why I said to pickup a Caterpillar mechanical pump. Regardless, its a disgusting amount of money and time on a 7.3... and for that money a common rail retro would probably be even better.why do people talk about things they know nothing about?
You realize that CAT engines came with BOSCH P series inline pumps, right?
a "Cummins" P-pump is a Bosch pump just like a "CAT" P-pump is a Bosch pump.
Nobody said anything about a Cummins pump. How on earth do you propose using a 6cyl pump on an 8cyl engine anyhow?
cat 3208, massey had a few pumps, international had some v8 pumps, mack has some v8 pumps, john deere has some v8 tractor pumps, hell hypermax actually builds pumps for v8 diesel builds ranging from 13mm-15mm. Lots of options. Perkins has a p3000 pump that MANY others have used.he wants to go mechanical... you said a CAT pump would be better than a P7100. Which CAT pump would be better?
