Well, I know nothing about diesels. I'll start with that. I own an import performance shop that specializes in subarus. We mainly do 600-1200whp STi's. I own a 2003 F250 7.3l Lariat Supercrew 2wd. I bought my truck to tow my race car around every once in a while and I use it as my daily driver. Its stock with a 4" exhaust and a custom tune that i use my SCT to flash at the moment. I decided i wanted a little more power, since its now my daily driver, so i purchased a 66/88 billet wheel conversion (4" inlet housing and all) for my gtp38, new bellowed up pipes, and an intake. I brought my truck in to my local diesel shop to get a baseline on their dyno before i did the mods to see how much i will have gained post mods. As it turns out the truck did poorly and its because my hpop was about 300psi less then what its supposed to be (i have no idea what that means but i know it has to do with the injector flow or something). It did 278whp/508wtq mustang dyno numbers. So rather then just putting a new hpop on the car i decided to upgrade the truck. I just purchased new injectors, hpop, fuel pump, and an ebpv delete. I'm not sure if the parts that i purchased are recommended for my truck. it's what the shop recommended to me to reach my goals of 450whp. I've had multiple people reach out to me telling me to change the build (i did not pick the parts, i was told to buy them by the man who tunes my truck so i did). I just want to know why people have contacted me telling me the fuel pumps are junk as are the injectors. Ive seen nothing bad about the Industrial Injection injectors nor the Fass pumps. People also don't like that I have an SCT tuner for the truck. I don't understand why its such a big deal if all its used for is to flash maps and i check my gauges on it every once in a while. I don't use any preloaded tunes on there. I am uneducated about the 7.3 and diesels in general so a synopsis of why the parts aren't/are recommended would be fantastic and greatly appreciated. Please don't come on here to nutswing about the products you have you your truck and why i should buy them. I just want to know if I purchased a solid product and if i didn't, what is wrong about them. The general response is "those fuel injectors and fuel pumps are meant for a cummins and not power strokes." Because a certain brand specializes in building injectors for a different engine that means they don't build a good injector that will work? They seem to work fine on the other platforms. Ive searched for anything i can to find out why the parts are bad but i haven't seen anything as of yet. It concerns me that people are contacting me about the parts but the same thing happens in the import community all the time and a lot of those people don't know what they're talking about. Since i don't know what I'm talking about, I'm coming to you guys. The truck is scheduled to get dropped off at the shop on Wednesday (Tomorrow) to get the work done to it and be tuned and done by Friday unless i change the parts.

These are the parts that i purchased on Friday for the truck:

Industrial Injection Race 2 Injectors 180/120
Fass Fuel Pump
Adrenaline HPOP
Garrett EBPV Delete
33psi Wastegate Actuator

The parts that i purchased that are in question are:

Industrial Injection Race 2 Injectors 180/120
Fass Fuel Pump
33psi Wastegate Actuator
SCT Programmer

The injectors are ok. They use shims to correct armature clearances. This is ok but machining is better. The size is a little big for towing. I would do some 160/30 instead.

The fass is a great pump. Just not for our trucks. It is designed for high volume and low pressure. Our trucks run at 55-65 psi. So the pressure is to high for them. The stock pump is more than adequate with those injectors. Look into the hutch mod. Strickly diesel makes a good kit. Also do the frx, quad feed from cncfab.us or a regulated return

Adrenaline hpop. Very good

Ebpv delete. Good

The waste gate actuator is a waste of money. The stocker is fine. The 66/88 conversion is nice but I would step up to a 38r or the new Kc38r

The sct programmer is ok. But there is better options out there. I recommend the hydra.

^^^^sbluke nailed it,with some PIS 175/80s and that new Adrenaline pump you would have nailed 450 no problem I feel.I would start looking into your trans,if you haven't already it will need to be "beefed" up or it will give up the ghost towing.get a larger trans cooler(I recommend 6.0l trans cooler),custom VB and gauges if you don't have them already, also the Hydra would be a huge benefit for you as it will allow more "custom" tunes and more options vs.a flash and go like the SCT.The good thing is if you decided to switch products from what you've bought you could easily sell them and get your new stuff just a option!

Yes, you saw correctly. I don't have any videos of it on YouTube. Actually, I only have one that's over a year old and it doesn't share any of the same parts as it did a year ago except for the header and dump tubes lol. The turbo flows 50 more lbs/m more now, it has a carbon triple disk clutch, it has 3000cc's of injector (only STi in the country/world running 8 injectors) at the factory base pressure, and runs 50-60psi of boost. It makes more torque then my diesel (I think 800wtq last time I checked but it's not tuned for its newest setup yet).

But, I'm returning the fass pump 100% and I already bought an 044 pump (the AEM version). I install their products every day and I decided to go with them and since I can have it by tomorrow. It's also diesel compatible. I'm going to see if I can return the injectors, it might be difficult because I know he ordered the set custom. I'm going to use the store credit I'll have to let him lower my truck. Saves me time and I don't have to do it lol. Now about getting the hydra. Who/where is the best place to get one?
