Just think, at the rate he is going when he gets it completely paid off the truck will only have like 10k on it. he will have the lowest milage 6 year old truck in the world. And the rental company will have a new store or two off the money ford paid in rentals to him. Sorry about the luck on it. Hope it gets better.

I don't believe the right to resend rule applies to purchasing vehicles . I am pretty sure some dealerships have a sales promotion type thing "if you don't love your new car bring it back " . You would have to have the same problem several times and the dealership can't fix it to your satisfaction (or at all) and then you apply for the lemon law . This has to go through arbitration and then you may or may not end up with a new vehicle depending on what the arbitrator decides .

On a side note I have been there . I bought a new 95 Cobra that overheated on the way home from the dealer ..... I was furious . They put me in a ****box escort . They had my car 2 months couldn't figure it out . They had the motor down to the shortblock . Finally they figured out the water pump was the wrong one and was running backwards . Got the car back , hole in the leather , ding in the door . I raised so much hell they even called the cops on me . They would do nothing for me . Called Ford's 1-800 number they really stepped in and took care of it .

I would be mad too, after you pay that much for a brand new truck and the **** falls apart on you on the way home? Yeah I would have turned my *** around to and got another one, I'm pretty sure you can take it back with the lemon law act.. Take it back, and it's ok about the punctuation I read it just fine haha, I know you were mad haha

For all the guys on here that talk crap about not spelling words correctly or not putting the proper punctuation are sooo ANNOYING!...get a life. this forum is here to help people out and to inform people not criticize them about their grammar...if u cant read it then u must be the retard! i read that post and understood it completely fine..im sure this guy is totally pissed and isn't worried about putting periods or commas...and for the guys that said its not a big deal..Imagine if u just paid 50-60k and couldnt even drive ur own truck..i would tell them to take that piece of SH*T and shove it...but as far as what the law says i think ur screwed..if u buy a vehicle theres a cooling off period and usually in ur contract they say "NO COOLING OFF" or something like that..this happened to my uncle when he bought a motorhome then decided it was a bad purchase..he got a lawyer and everything but because he drove the motor home off the lot he wasnt able to return it...i dont know if rules are diff in California...good luck man im sure once they fix that little problem u will have one BAD A$$ FORD!!!

clock spring

serviceguy's call this part a clock spring. every ford that has steering controls has them. this part fits under the steeringwheel and plugs into all steering cotrols (airbag, cruse control, radio, ect.)

Well, I was trying to put some mileage on my new F350 so I could start towing my 5er, and had all of 342 miles when the radiator began leaking badly. Had to be towed to the local dealer in Reno, NV. Service manager wasn't going to give me a loaner while truck was repaired and he suggested my wife, myself and another couple take a taxi home (to Grass Valley, CA), but then realized Ford would have to foot the bill. He then found a loaner for us. Talked to the service manager this morning and was told that there are at least 30 other dealers waiting on radiators for the new trucks and only 9 available at this time. Looks like it will be sitting in Reno for at least another week. Otherwise, it's a great truck and handles nicely with a lot of power.

Damn guys...why so harsh about how the guy didn't punctuate? So what? This is a diesel forum, not a grammar forum. Isn't the lemon law if the same thing goes wrong 3 times then you can take it back?

Just got a call from the dealer in Reno and Ford was able to rush a radiator to them. I'll pick the truck up tomorrow morning and continue putting miles on it. I guess Ford is really going to stand behind this new truck.

Ford isn't going to abandon early adopters. They're learning about their new truck too.

Unlike Chrysler that left all of the 6.7 Cummins owners out to dry when the problems picked up a lot.

Haha thanks man. And about the 6.7 Cummins, yeah, Chrysler didn't stand behind those things at all! The owners would go complaining and the employees would tell them to drive them hard or whatever. It was ridiculous.

So what happened? Did the truck get fixed? Did it explode due to a faulty clock spring? Is the guy stuck in a 3rd grade english class? We need an update!

Hey Man, double check everything on that truck when you get it back. Those idiots down there at "Jones West Ford" struggle to do anything right. I picked my truck up from there before and they had a list of things a mile wrong with it, until I showed them that they had inspected the truck 2 weeks earlier and it had flying colors on the report. Hell they don't even know what the clock switch is. I had to disconnect one of those on my grandpa's truck because those guys told him their was no way to disconnect the air bags.

Is there just something about Nevada ford dealers? Back when I bought my truck new in '05, we drove to Iowa to pick up a new F550. On the way back, my 6-liter broke down and had to be towed to elko, nv. The service manager said it would be at least a week before they even looked at it and we should find our own way home to Sacramento, because they won't give us a rental. So we had to pack all of the suitcases and everything else we brought with us into a cab and chassis and drive home about 500 miles. To make matters worse, they wouldn't do a "walk around" to see there was no damage because according to the service manager "the truck is too dirty to see anything". And if we wanted it towed to another dealer, it would be on our dime. I called ford, who basically told me I'm on my own. This all happened on a friday morning, when we got home, I called a buddy who owns a ford dealer who apparently called elko ford and let them know that if ANYTHING happened to my truck, they'd be in deep doo doo. I got a call monday morning at 7 am "your truck is all fixed and ready to go". So I know all about this kind of crap.
