there is a square plug on the drivers side of the engine towards the rear. its on the last rib of the engiine block about the oil filter height. at least on my 7.3 there is.

I put my oil temp sender in the oil pressure test port, you could surely use this same port for oil pressure. The port will have to be drilled and tapped to work..

Adam, are you saying that you had to drill and tap the port for your oil temp sending unit (or that you would have to do it for a pressure sending unit)?

What kind of EOT/ECT differentials do you see?

yes I had to drill and tap from my oil temp, the test port is there, but not the right size for the sender. You would have to do the same thing for a oil pressure sender too..

my water temp sender is right post oil cooler and I see about a 8-10* diff, between EOT and ECT

Were you not concerned about the metal shavings? Did you flush the oil (fill and drain) after the job? Do you know the thread specifications for the stock plug? Lastly (I promise), what drill bit did you use?

I wasn't concerned and no I didn't flush it..if anything went in it would have been minimal..I will have to get the thread specs and drill bit size, it was done almost 4 years ago..only reason I chose that spot is merely because I wanted it hidden.
