Okay so I parked the truck today and came back out later and noticed my driveway had a large oil spot under the truck. Upon investigation I found where the Oil is coming from. It is coming from a line from the HPOP. The line in particular is the one closest to the firewall. You can see where it looks like an o-ring came out. How do I fix this. and is the o-ring a standard size or is it a special design for the High Pressure Oil Line. If you could possibly assist me please call 520-226-5638. Normally I would not blast my number out like this but I need some help. I called checkers and auto zone and they do not show any o-rings or anything in their system for the HPOP.

Thanks again for any assistance.

The o-ring between the HPO line and the head, is a #906 ORB ring. You can buy these rings at any industrial supply shop that does hydraulic fittings. You can also buy a kit with all the different sizes in it.

Update....Figured out the HPOP Lines and fixed the leak. But i guess that was just part of the problem. I am also having a leak on the Passenger side on the rear corner of the oilpan. I am thiking it could be the oilpan gasket or maybe the rear Main. What do you guys think?

For either of these problems...I believe you'll have to pull the engine. :(

i just went through this exact issue with my '99 f250. replaced the worn o-ring and everything seems to be fine.

also...when mine was leaking it would pool up in the "valley" below the HPOP down between the valve covers, then all the oil would just run down the back of the motor, all over the trans, get whipped around by the air, and lastly speckle my tailgate like a pepper shaker.

just thought i'd mention that so if you havent already cleaned that "valley" out then that could be the source of your appearant oil leak.

I am going to clean the valley and the underside of the truck tonight and then drive it and see if it is still leaking. I also found out on powerstrokehelp.com that alot of times the oil pan is just loose and leak like it is now. So I am going to try it all out. and update you all. Thanks for the help thus far. any more ideas please let me know. I am at witts end.
