Hey guys...

I have sprung a leak at the base of the dip stick tube. Everyone I spoke with states that this is common in the powerstrokes. However, this leak is coming from the center of the connector, not the edges of the 'nut.' This leak is not a drip here and there...this baby leaks, leaving a puddle the size of rhode island.

I can't afford to have my engine pulled to replace the entire connector. Anyone have any ideas on how to seal this leak up? I tried using RVT black, but no dice. I can't believe that for an approximately $60.00 part it will cost me around $1200.00 to have it installed.

Any ideas you all may have, I am all ears.

Thanks!
JD

my dipstick tube on my 95 will pop out and you can replace the oring that seals it. un bolt the bracket at the valve cover and pull the tube up sharply and you will find the o-ring on the end of the tube then put tube back (kind of a PITA) and rebolt the bracket.
