I did a search and found this thread> http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-0-motor-problems/1976-oily-air.html

From what Marc says, this is ok.... right? I got a couple pics to show the amounts I found. I guess I just wasn't expecting to find oil in it so it shocked me. Does it come from the turbo? EGR system??

Err. Nevermind on the EGR. It can't come from there since it is "down wind" of the oil I found.

Looking into the plumbing directly before the elbow.

That same spot, closer, inside the rubber boot.

Down inside the intake aft of the elbow.

In the elbow itself.

You need to do the CCV mod.

It's not good but it is normal. The CCV (crankcase ventilation) system is plumbed into the intake just before the turbo and it lets some oil get sucked in with the vapor.

The CCV mod relocates the vent so that oil is not sucked into the intake.
