Hey guys. I'm looking to but factory fog lights for my 97 OBS but I honestly can't seem to find them ANYWHERE! I don't know if I'm not looking hard enough or what. Were they even an option in 97?

Danggg. That sucks. You have any recommendations for what I could use? I don't care if I can't put them in the diffuser or whatever you call the plastic piece in the center of the bumper with squares cut out, I'm ok with rigging them to the top of the bumper.

Just retro fit the Lightning parts on your truck. Consists of a plastic valance under the bumper and two fog lamps that come with the brackets. Look at at LMC for then parts the go to amazon or ebay to get them lots cheaper. You'll need to run the wiring and order two plugs from for for the lamp connectors. I have the part number for the connectors if you go this way. You will also need a switch to you liking for the inside.

No freakin' way. I was just thinking about this and I was wondering if it would really work. Can you link me to where you got your lights and how did you wire them? Did you put a switch in the cab or did you wire them into your low beams?

Depo Auto lamps makes the emplacement for the Factory Lighting lamps. according to Fordparts.com they also will fit any 93-97 OBS truck with the valance. Depo part for the LH lamp with bracket is 330-2008L-AQ. RH Lamp is 330-2008R-AQ. Mine came from US Auto parts Network, 17150 South Margay Ave. Carson CA 90748. They come with an attached weatherpak connector and Ford sells the mating part. P/N is WPT-111, 1U2Z-A4S411-KA. the valance is available from eBay New Air Dam Deflector Valance Front Raw F150 Truck F250 F350 Ford FO1095155 | eBay
Or from amazon.com Be sure to get the one with four openings. Now for the prices:
The lamps are around $100.00 each the Connectors are about $15.00 and the valance is in the neighbor hood of $65-70 USD. From the factory they only came on the Lightning and one other special edition( it was a step side with special graphics and purple). However Dealers install them on trucks (at least in mu local area) prior to delivery

Yes that is the name I was looking for. Stepside bed and really sharp truck. there is one about 6 miles from me sitting in a temp controlled shed and the older driver won't even start it. Really a shame when he passes the kid are just going to see it as an old truck to be disposed of. I'll be keeping my eyes and ears open for it to come available.

This one is absolutely perfect. I think the Odometer had less than 40K on it. Every thing was totally original. The kids will dump it just for a quick high. I just hope I get wind of it so I can try to buy it.

The NITE pkg was not only flare sides.

The "Nite" package was a special edition package that was available in 1991 and 1992. The package was for the most part an appearance package, with the most noticeable features being the black paint & trim, and special multicolor stripe. The Nite package (available on the XLT Lariat truck) also included 235/75/15 white-letter tires, alloy wheels, and sport suspension.

In 1991, you could only get a "Nite" truck in a regular cab F150. In 1992, you could get it in any style F150 (styleside, supercab, etc.) in addition to the Bronco. These trucks came with either a 302 (5.0L) or 351 (5.8L) V8, and in either 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.

Here is a quote from the 1992 Ford Truck brochure:

The XLT Lariat 'nite' truck is available in the regular cab or supercab 4x2 or 4x4 with the 302 as standard. Its dressed out in raven black with special bodyside tape stripes and forged aluminum deep-dish wheels...The nite model interior includes a choice of colors-dark charcoal, scarlet red or cyrstal blue, a sliding rear window, "nite" nomenclature on the instrument panel and special "nite' floor mats.

Nite broncos were also available

Looks like you got an alarm too, and the step side option was a first since the 70's in 92 iirc, and my bad on the correct spelling of the nite edition, but thanks for the extra info and getting this thread back on track lol
