In the northern nanny state? We'll have to register sharp pointy objects soon.Kevbot that gun "mount" is kinda neat but I pray that we never get to the point here where it's legal to have a pistol twizzeling around within reach of the pilot or passengers unsecured like that. Yikes man.
Trust me, if I had the slightest doubts about any of my passengers, the gun would be gettin tucked away out of reach. I only have it there when it's just me, or me and friends/family that I trust in the truck. And 99% of the time it's just me so that's not an issue lolKevbot that gun "mount" is kinda neat but I pray that we never get to the point here where it's legal to have a pistol twizzeling around within reach of the pilot or passengers unsecured like that. Yeah I'm trying to decide between V-codes and U-codes. I'll probably go with V codes and a 3.5" rsk from PMF. Just want to make sure I can clear my new tiresLooks awesome!!
You will NOT regret the RSK. I used v-codes and love them.
Ok cool. The more I've read the more people I've found that like them.i've used sdtrucksprings with no issues.
Truck looks great!! Makes me anxious for the tires I ordered to show up so I can get my new wheels and tires on
Did the 05 wheel fit the original splines? I'm thinking of swapping one in with illuminated controls since the cruise buttons on my black truck are getting finicky. So I got an 05 steering wheel installed in my truck any tips on wiring it in anybody got a small break down on the wiring
my ride is much MUCH worse than OEM. Kinda been beating myself up for making it so rough because I dont even really enjoy driving it now. If I could get back to even OEM ride quality I'd be so much happier.my RSK w/V codes = spring was flat = nice ride
switched to X codes = spring slightly arched = NOW bump steer in the dips with v CODES.
NOT BAD BUT
it's taken a little bit to get used to.
I now understand why the Ford Engineers had what they had.... = flat spring on Dana 60 = better ride.
the more arch you have the more bump steer imho.
THE spring will flex from arched to flat and the distance from the hanger changes enough to effect steering.
Years down the line.....hindsight...
RSK didn't really improve my ride, over OEM.
but got me leveled out....
I understand the argument to have the hinge point at the back of the spring and a flat spring = better ride.
I have a 2.25" PMF RSK and I could probably clear 35s. I have 285/75R17s on it now which is about a true 34 but only 11.2" wide. I had to do some minor bumper trimming.Do you guys think a 3.5" with U codes would clear 35's? Theres a pretty big price difference between U and V codes and most people say the U codes ride even better since our trucks are lighter than SD trucks. But I'm thinking I might need the extra little bit of lift the V codes add....
Was it straight bolt on to factory seats or did you have to fabricate it'08 console
