My truck started leaking last week and I'm pretty sure I have it narrowed down to the non-servicible plug on the HPOP. I have oil in the valley and can't find a leak while the truck was idling, but after a short drive, a few ounces will leak onto the ground. I got a pretty good visual with a mirror and am convinced it is the non-servicilbe plug on the HPOP. My question is:
When I tear into this, will I loose this washer I keep reading about and will my truck crank after I do this?
Any help please reply

First put a wrench on that plug and tighten it while its in the truck. Ive seen some that were about 1/2 turn loose, tightened it up, no more leak.

Call bob at dieselorings.com order the kit and there are directions in it. I did mine last year, the nonserviceable plug was loose. I replaced all of the o rings, plug and everything around the fuel filter at the same time.

i wouldnt "fix" it in the truck. Remove the hpop, clean the threads..etc, so the loctite can function properly..(creating the seal).

I agree, it is better to remove the hpop and reseal the whole thing
