Recently had my oil changed and today I went to crank it and it was hard to crank but finally did then lost power, now won’t start. Check engine light came on and I pulled code which was PO197. I looked in the engine area and found a harness plug not plugged in by the fuel filter but can’t figure out where it goes, I’m attaching a picture if anyone can help.

I believe that is for your engine oil temp and plugs in behind that filter base on top of the oil cooler. Whoever changed the oil filter sure did a hatchet job on the cap

I checked and the engine oil temp sensor already has a plug in it

Well golly, maybe it goes to the EGR valve that was deleted.

Your P0197 for the EOT sensor should not cause an no start condition... but stranger things have happened. You should look at some parameters when cranking AND diagnose the EOT sensor code. Ignore THAT (EGR valve) connector.

Oil filter cap socket... also fits the frame rail fuel filter.

Post up ICP, ICP volts, IPR, sync, ficm sync, battery voltage, and RPM when cranking. Use FORScan or equivalent, if you need help getting FORScan @Hydro has the info for you.

EDIT - While we are at it, check the oil level

Nope.

The early 6.0's had a quick disconnect on the oil feed line, which did require a oil cooler cover upgrade. The one pictured looks to be a newer style oil feed line, but braided (not solid line which would be the upgrade referenced)
