So friday afternoon, left work a little early and headed down to Waldorf to take my 24' trailer to get inspected at The Hitch Man.

Sitting at a light, everything normal, light turns green - hit the "go peddle" and nothing happens. Hit the peddle again - engine doesnt rev, no power at all - dropped the TorqueShift auto trans shifter down to 1 - engine takes off - shift to D - everything is fine. Next 2 lights - all is fine. 3rd light - same thing. This time dropping to 1 didnt work either - it just crawled at a toddler pace for a few seconds - then took off normal.

Torque converter maybe - not locking up?

But the RPM's would not rev either. Engine ran fine - no check engine lights - no funny sounds or smells - just no go?

What'cha think?:dunno:

Means the throttle is electronic instead of a cable.

Early June this first happened - since then - ran pretty well (oddly enough - I've picked up about 1.5 mpg but have no idea why??? - totally unrelated - just a comment)

Last night - turning onto Old Crain Highway from 301S - sitting at a light - no load, idling for a few minutes, light turned green - hit the go pedal - nothing - the engine chugged and puffed black smoke but no-go. A few seconds later - she took off? No check engine light - ran fine afterwards.

I have noticed over the last few days when I stomp it - I get a big burp of black smoke that clears as the engine revs - doesnt chug though - not until last night.
