I am having the exact same problem. I did read that one of the wires is a ground. One goes to the PCM and one goes to the fuse panel. Can't remember which was which. Did you ever find out what was wrong?
no overdrive
Hello, I'm new to this site so I hope this question makes since. I have a 96 f-250 4wd with automatic transmission. I cant get it into overdrive. I have replaced the o.d. button and taken out the shifter handle and checked the wires and they are good. Here is where it gets confusing, I can use a jumper wire to get it into overdrive by holding one end into pin hole #2 and going to pin hole #1 then keeping wire in pin hole #2 move the other end into pin hole #3 then remove the wire completely. It will work until I turn off the truck but once I do, I have to repeat the process to get overdrive. I was thinking P.C.M. ???? any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
