I have no heat coming to the cab except for when I'm driving. And its snowing here, and its hard to keep the windshield de frosted. Any ideas?

Have you changed your thermostat... Might be stuck open

make sure the surge tank is full to the top mark. on my S.I.L. truck, I actually removed a hose and stuck a funnel in it and filled it that way. The engien had plenty of coolant, but the heater hoses were air locked.

It's the coolant reservoir. What year is your truck?

1997 is the year, and just replaced the thermostat yesterday, and the only thing I noticed was the engine seems to warm up slightly faster. May be my imagination though, lol

A bad pressure cap can be the cause also :nod:

If your talking about the coolant cap, no because i have good pressure.

How would I test it?

Could pressure the line going and see if the return is spitting back out, usually when mine go tho they drip in the cab, and smells like antifreeze, not sure of a sure fire way to test, but they cost like $20-30, and easy enough to change figure if you replaced the rest of the system already that's the best spot left

I didn't get to check the heater core just yet, but is it possible that it could be a vacuum issue?
