k guys I live west Texas and it is starting to get hot as a mother, and my a/c decided to start blowin out hot air a week ago. What should I do? just use some free on or what?

I aggree with this. But I would say for the cost of about 10 bucks. You can get the can of R-134 almost anywhere. It comes with the gauge. You screw it on the low pressure side. Just follow the directions. If it does not cure your problem then seek a professional.Take it to a professional if you do not have the proper tools. Just because it stopped working, does not mean you are low of freon. There can be a lot of different issues causing this.
this isnt always true. if you jump that switch it will kick the compressor on regardless of amount of Freon (even if system is empty...). I would hook a set of gauges up and look at pressure before jumping the switch.. :thumb:I have had issues with the pressure switches on our trucks at work ... jump the pressure switch off the compressor with a paperclip or wire.. if the ac kicks on the switch is f'ed

Willyp, Sorry to here that. I just replaced my compressor for the 5th time. So I feel your pain.mine does not work and its 111 here

This time though, I found a plug in my evaporator :doh: . Flushed it out and now it's colder then ever. :thumb:
