Hi all,
I recently bought a pmf hd track bar from trevor. Really impressed with the construction on this thing! I bought my truck from the dealer with a pro comp 6 inch stage 1 lift with a track bar drop bracket on it.

Forgive me, but was there a smaller stock bracket that came on this originally? I really wanted to take off the drop bracket to run a cleaner, tighter look and would assume that the truck would drive better without the drop.

Do i need to hunt down a stock bracket or should i just install it using the existing pro comp drop bracket? Am i out on cloud 9 and missing something here?

Thanks!

Hmm I though the drop bracket went on the stock bracket ??

but you aren't after a cleaner look you want that trac bar to run at the same angle as the drag link

that will determine if you need or loose the drop

The ball joint on the stock bar on the truck now is shot- i get horrible wobble at every bump. Hoping this new track bar fixes that.

IDK

start with waht you have an see if when your done if the steering bar( AKA drag link)

and the trac bar are parellel to each other

if the drag link is going up at a sharper angle then you would want to try a stocker

u can post a pic if you need input when your done

I also remember the PMF can be mounted on top or below on the axle side

Yes, our trackbar is setup so you can run it on the top or bottom side of the axle mount. However, even relocating it to the top side isnt going to be enough to allow the removal of the Pro Comp drop trackbar bracket. If you did, it is going to throw your draglink and trackbar angles off and you will end up with bump steer. If you have any questions, just call me. I will be at the shop for a good part of the day and have my cell on me when Im not.
