Hello, I recently got a 2002 f250 with the 7.3l. while driving about 20 to 40mph, I push the pedal and when I let go of the pedal I feel and hear a "clunk". This cluck is very responsive to the gas pedal. It only happens when I let go of the pedal or push it at low speeds. Another issues is that it also vibrates as I pick up speed. specially on the freeway. It doesn't shift as smooth as I would like but you can definitely feel the shifts.
Yesterday morning as I pulled out the driveway and took off, the truck would not pick up speed. I'm at almost WOT and I still couldn't get past 30mph. I parked it, I drove it later and it drove just fine but still had that clunk. My first assumption before yesterday morning were the U-joints but now I'm assuming more towards the torque converter.
No Codes of any sort and there is definitely the right amount of fluid in the trans. All stock and no tuners at all. Any thoughts guys?.......
If it is the torque converter, which one should I get for my stock set up?...........
Thank you!
