So I had a buddy let me use his scanner one day and drove up a big hill. My coolant never went above 210 but my oil temp was super high, it said 245. We replaced the oil cooler and all the seals on the top of the motor.
We went for another drive when we had everything back together and the oil temp said the same thing. Any one have that happen? I’m thinking oil temp sensor. Trying that in the morning.

Does your engine still have an EGR cooler?

If so, and if the coolant passages are plugged up, it could be limiting the flow of coolant through the oil cooler.

If it has the egr cooler still on it, it can be jelled up and plugged. All water through the oil cooler flows through the egr cooler too. If you can't get water through the egr cooler, the oil cooler won't flow either.
