I can't mount my Dieselsite Coolant Bypass where they want me to. (Can't say I care for the bracket anyway.) My Oil Bypass is right there. I've seen where someone mounted both on one home-made bracket, but believe me it won't fit on mine. Anyone else have any good ideas for alt. installation locations?

As always, Thanks in advance!! :thumb:

If you got a Sinister bypass you would be able to make it work mine hooks up by the radiator

I still don't think it would fit. The Sinister bracket looks a lot better, but I still don't think It would fit with the ball valve and hose coming out of the front like that. I also can't move the oil bypass back any further. The filter is already just 1/2" off the pipe coming from the intercooler.

I'm actually starting to think about battery re-location. Thought about running the pass. side battery to the bed. Up in the front corner of the passenger side. Thinking hard about that one. I would fab up a homemade battery box for it. It would give me a lot more room under the hood to add things like these.

What about longer hoses & installing it underneath, behind the bumper.

I thought about recommending that as well. I wouldnt go moving any batteries if I didnt have to. Look at building your own bracket that will either replace or add to your current bracket that will locate the coolant filter mount in between the battery and intercooler support towards the outside of the ac fill connection. You may have to tie the bracket into the intercooler support and make your own hoses to get the proper length. Just make sure you fit it and that you can get the filter out once mounted.

Well, After looking around, behind the bumper was really the only place. So that's where it went. I'll post pics shortly.

I'm planning on locating my filter around there as well. Similar to the BPD filter location on their remote oil cooler. I'd appreciate some pics for reference and if you know the sizes of the tubing/hose tees. It would help me in sourcing mine.

Thanks

Here's a pic of mine. I used the bracket sent by Dieselsite. But if you are installing this kit, you will need every bit of the hose they send for one run. Since you need 2 lines, I bought 6' more 3/8 hose in order to make the 2nd connection. My biggest issue with it is how visible it is. It's highly noticeable.

And you will notice that I had to flip the bolt around the other direction in the bracket too. To mount it, I loosened the bolt from the bumper bracket. Shoved the Dieselsite bracket in between the 2 pieces of metal and clamped down as hard as I could.

Man am I glad you posted this. Got mine today and the same problem. Whoever engineered the mount had his head up his butt. There is no way it's going to fit in there with the ball joints. I had looked at my bumper location and then thought to look here. How is yours holding up?
