I have a 97 f250 powerstroke, 7.3. It was very cold today and when I started the truck it seemed fine, on the way to work I noticed it getting hot even on a 12 degree day. after work I noticed my passenger tire was wet, when I checked under the hood it was drenched in anti freeze. I bought new and added it in. on the way home my engine was smoking and smelt of anti freeze. there is a small hose connecting to the front center of the engine, just behind the fan next to the ect sensor (I think that's the sensor) that was spewing out steam and im sure anti freeze fluid before it ran out. is this the thermostat or water pump? or am I even close to getting it right?
