Need help identifying part - 2001 7.3 F250

Hello, Sorry to just jump right in without signature and if this is in the wrong forum... but the family and I are heading on a road trip in a day and have a less than 1 week old (to me) 2001 F250 7.3 and found a couple cut wires that i missed when purchasing sadly... I need help identifying this metal canister on the passenger side to know if I need to be concerned as the wiring plug circled has a frayed wire down the line. It is replaceable as it has clips on either side but I am having a difficult time pinpointing what this canister is with the metal lines out the top. Thanks
