My truck cut out on me today. UPDATE Doing it only when the SES light is off.

I was on my way to work and had to slow down for some guys working on the over head power lines. I didn't slam on the brakes or anything. I went to take off and it cut out a couple times when I got into it. I am below 1/4 tank. Maybe an 1/8 tank. Is this just from being low of fuel?

UPDATE

So my SES light has been on for a while but the truck has ran great up till today. Under hard acceleration i get a miss kid of cutting out but it's only when the check engine light is off. With the ses light on the truck runs perfect. This is kind of my project truck but I am driving it daily while my other truck is broke. I dont have the time to let the dealer have it to scan it. Any ideas what it might be?

Possibly - Has it done it any other time? I've run my truck down till the "low fuel" light comes on and not experienced that, but that's my truck.

Do you know if your CPS was replaced under recall?

Fuel pumps are designed to kill all power to the vehicle once they pump air. Fill it up with fuel and start there. After filling it up, cycle the key a few times before cranking to make sure you have enough fuel pressure.

Will an autozone scan tool do the trick? I filled her up and she seems fine now. But it's the first I can ever remember it doing it.

No, it won't :(

All the Auto Parts Stores have are Generic scanners that rely on standard OBD-II format. Our trucks are Not that format so, you need a professional scanner to do a proper job...

I am starting to think it's the icp but I don't want to throw parts at it. Is there any way to test the icp? WOuld running the truck with it unplugged for a few days cause any damage?
