so lemme get the main concept down on cf.
you have a dirty tank of vo. heat it up so it is lquid and flows. flows into a series of filters in different sizes with the smallest at the end. then flows to the other tank which is the tank you pump into your truck. right? and that filtered tank is heated so you can pump it into your vo tank on the truck.
whats this water in vo about? or do you use a water separater for vo like there is in the diesels with water separaters for diesel fuel?
ok i watched the vid an others from that guy. thats cool how that works. but still wouldnt you want to filter it or running that once or twice through that cf is good enough?
answers in blue. check out fastcote's fuge sticky, a great build there and some good pics, that may help answer some questions as well.then how many times do you run it through that? i guess you wont have to worry on a crisco paper filter lmao. most with this style fuge run once at 4 to 10 GPH.
looking on the site from simple cf, the one peice is not in production anymore. theres a two piece now.
how much oil does one generally not get to use. as in dirty oil. and where do you dispose of it? depends how dirty it is. vegginpsd and tubular031 can generally spin a 275 gallon tote without cleaning the bowl until the finished, so in the end maybe a quart or two of nasty vo?
and im guessin it has to be heated going into the cf as well... its reccomended. wvodesigns has an inline heater available.
Tell dad you know a guy (me) whom to date has put $20,000 in his pocket in saved fuel cost due to using free vegi oil.i think i already got the concept down. but ill still read more threads about it. found a few sites that sells the cf setup and i like the one from simplecf so far. and not to pump out of dumpsters lol.
already got called a hippy from my coworker for wanting to do this and crazy from my dad :hehe:
The best thing to do is not tell everyone. Trust me you will get reallyyyy tired of telling the story and answering the 100 questions when people find out.i know it will take time for him and everyone to accept the idea when they see the results and figures.
Its a little hard to pull my camper or cargo trailer with my WRX or honda accord!his argument is just go buy a car if you want to save on fuel......
