Hi I am New to this site my question is I have a musky smell coming from Air vents and I have cleaned my fresh air unit out with A/C mold cleaner. I get the smell with heater and A/C is on. I also cleaned out my blower motor box. I still have the smell what other things Can I do to clean the smell out. also should the fresh air intake that is located under the front cowl by the wipers be covered up by a sticky cover?

One thing I've done before is to set the blower on high, using a spray bottle with a mixture of water and bleach, spray it into the front cowl by the wipers and let it get sucked and blow through the vents. AND no, I've never seeen a cover over the cowl covered up. If that is restricting air flow, it may be part of the reason for the musty smell.

Another thing to do is when you are almost to your destination, turn off the A/C and let air blow through the vents for a bit before you shut down the truck.

Just some thoughts.

I agree, don't cover up your air intake. There are a variety of duct cleaners on the market. Usually this involves running your heat and a/c on high while spraying the product into the air intake on the cowl. Other products are applied by spraying directly into the dash vents.

Clean Air - Duct Treatment For Cars! has a variety of duct cleaning products.
