Check this steering question out

I made it to scheids this weekend knowing something wrong with steering and I've been having problems with it. But today I got back to evansville and it was acting up bad so I got under there and grabbed my linkage and the top bar will wiggle back and forth. If needed I can photoshop in my pic to show where but its the top link that looks like to goes into steering box.
Should this bar move at all?

In this picture its the one that starts from the left and works it way up. The upper joint I think is my problem.

This is just a closer shot to the joint.

When you say back and forth do you mean side to side (in direction of tires) or like a slight twisting motion?

not side to side like a twisting.

if it does a twisting motion only slightly, I am pretty sure that is normal, you are just moving the joints through their working range. I do not know how much is normal or allowed. But a lil movement is okay.

oops Doubled that last one, somehow :dunno:

Like I said, it could be twisting or moving too much. If not too much trouble, can you post a video of it? Put a mark along the bar for a visual reference and then twist it.... may help one of the more intelligent guys here figure your issue out!

Ok once I get my camera I'll try to take a vid of it. Sometimes it will get tight and wont let me turn my wheels and when I move and turn it will pop it seems and work a little longer.

Still may be a bad link on one end... I'm no expert. PM Dave or Scuffy with a link to your thread. They will surely be able to shed more light than I can
