First post...here we go... 02 7.3 with 155,000 miles. About a month ago, my SES light came on while towing a long steep grade, but went off awhile later. I noticed that it lacks a little power while towing, but seems fine around town. I took it to a local mechanic and he tells me I need the following:
-Boost leaks fixed: wants to install 2 lower intake tubes, 4 lower clamps, 2 upper intake boots, 4 upper intake clamps, remove and reseal intakes.
-Replace passenger fuel line (leaking).
-IPR and IPR pig tail
-IPC and IPC pig tail
-Turbo pedestal seals
-High pressure oil pump (says it tested fine, but he should change it while he's in there due to mileage).
It seems like a lot of parts. Does this sound like what is needed as a legitimate fix or that he's throwing parts at it?
