2015 Transit 3.2L I5 powerstroke, 118k
Driving down the highway on a road trip and the coolant hose to the intake manifold slipped off. Symptom was loud clicking noise and loss of power. No high temperature alarms. I stopped and found the hose off. I reattached it and added water and got back on the road. It's driving like normal, but the clicking noise is still there, from the turbo area. I can barely hear it driving at highway speeds, but it's pretty loud at an idle. It speeds up and slows down with engine speed. It sounds like a misfire used to sound on my 6.0. Any idea of what could happen to this turbo due to short loss of coolant?
Also, any good recommendations for a Ford diesel mechanic in the Pittsburgh area?
