Last weekend I replaced my stock downpipe with a 3" from Diamond Eye & cat delete pipe as well. I had the tranny out to replace the dual mass flywheel with a single mass, so I thought it would be a good time to do it. I have the DIY air filter on order but have not installed it yet. It used to loose traction on a gravel road in 3rd gear at about 2,000 RPM. Now it doesn't peak out until about 2700 RPM. When i first started it after the install I heard a lot more turbo whine, but that has gone away now, too. I am running the stock program. Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong? Thanks, Scott

BTW it is a 1996 basically stock except for the exhaust & flywheel.

EBPV issues?

Did you gut the pedestal while you were there at the DP?
Or perhaps wack it or wedge it or leave a 10mm wrench in there?


I knew a guy who left a rag in his tank after cleanig and flushing it, took forever to figure out why he was sucking such a tiny bit of fuel.

I'd check the ebpv 1st

I didn' gut the EBPV, but the actuator is disconnected and the valve is tied open. I have a new intake installed now and that seemed to make a difference. I think the peak power points just changed and it felt different.
