I know this must have been discussed here hundreds of times. I tried search feature but I still have no good answer.
I own 2005 F350 Powerstroke. It's been losing coolant. The Ford dealer tells me that they will fix it for $4000!! They say, I need to replace the EGR valve, oil cooler and possibly the turbo. Did some research and it seems it's a pretty common problem on these Powerstrokes 6.0
I can't really afford it now. What would you guys suggest I do? Is there a cheaper way to get this fixed? Have Ford come up with better parts by now? Or is it something I'll have to dish out every 50 000 miles?
OR: can you just refer me to a forum where this was already discussed? It seems to be a common problem! Thank you AK Kid
