I'm a dealer legally but what I do is buy vehicles that interest me do what I want within reason and budget than sell it for hopefully a profit. Normally when i see something I have an idea of what that vehicle sells for in various forms such as stock or modified etc. I'm definitely not a greedy individual I usually way overspend and try to sell something bad *** at book value because working on them and making them into something is the best part for me. But I'm new to diesels and they are all over the place price wise and I dont even know the basics of general buyers shopping for them. So I'm looking for opinions, I dont need you to RIP my truck apart or tell me what you dont like about it I did what I could do with what I had available and personally love it just having a hard time distinguishing between who's giving thier trucks away and who's mental. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. I realize prices vary quite a bit by area so I'll post some the ones for sale as well. I'm in Phoenix and you have a hard time finding any diesel below or even near book value, and most are pretty stock.

I am a 6.0 guy from Phoenix.

For the excursions, what I notice is the dealers seem to have the same excursion pictured in Craigslist for months. When I go to the dealer website, they have no excursions on their inventory. Kind of a bait and hook technique. For the one you have pictured, it could be a fair price for a decked out excursion, but I don’t see how you could make money off it, most wil think way too high, but these excursions or any large diesel SUV has not been produced in 15 years. Not too many excursions, so the market can be at a premium. I’ve looked a while, and I‘ve seen less available and prices go up.

For any 6.4 I see for sale, I think it may need a new engine soon at any price, which can be $10k, so I stay away.

I didnt mean to post the excursion but I had it saved because they called it custom/built I haven't seen many dieseld with more than a lift for sale lately but that's definitely interesting. Also hats off to you you're literally the first person I have met that likes the 6.0 and had great experiences. My experiences were the exact opposite. I like the 7.3, left alone it was a great motor I had 2 with over 500k. This particular 6.4 is my 9th, have 3 right now nothing but awesome experiences. The deletes really help the motor but even for normal use our 450 just had oil changed every 4000 miles as opposed to the recommendations. It was bone stock and went to texas last summer with 311k on it. I love the 6.7 too but got lucky with some low mileage 6.4e too good to pass on.

Oh I like my 6.0, but a couple reasons I won't change anytime soon. First is I put about as much money into it as I paid for it, but there are a few very common problems and afterwards, they're pretty stout. Second, is when I bought it I had three months of free time where I just poured myself into studying how diesel engines work and the particulars of a 6.0. For me, I do not want to put that sort of time and effort into fixing up a different engine. I'm sure we all feel that way about our particular models.
