FMC is replacing my 6.0 with a new long block motor, question is will this new motor come with injectors installed, or will they be using my old ones? :dunno:
will have to wait for a tech to answer that one. What happened that they are replacing the long block? I would assume they would be using your old injectors, HPOP, Oil Cooler, EGR cooler and intake, valve body plate, oil rails and valve covers, or they might as well have put a whole new motor in. :dunno:
#1,2 cyl. have no comp. Tech is saying burned vales in head. FMC said to long block it and I guess that works for me. Hopefully no more problems down the road.
are you referring to ARP studs? if so then that would depend on the dealer doing the work, i would bet he could have the tech install them while its all apart. and the studs go into the block, the heads slide over the studs and are bolted down to the block.
Thanks for the response, was hoping to get new injectors as several have had to be replaced in the past, as for the studs I did not ask for them. I am going to wait until after warr. is up then have this motor built right so there are no future problems. Ford makes a nice truck, but ford does not build engines...as we all know!
