so i finally installed my dpf/cat delete. My buddies have been running this ebay kit Ford Powerstroke 2008 2010 F250 F350 6.4L DPF Cat Delete Performance Exhaust | eBay for over 2 year now with zero issues the only downfall it does not have the holes for the sensor but with the h&s programmer you dont need it, so i went the same route. i got the xrt pro with stock intake. setting are hd300 with sp1 and fuel at 5. call me crazy but if you control your foot the truck wont smoke unless you punch it. so far im getting great mpg. now my next mod is CAI and that would be all for me. Ive raced the car from a roll and its funny to beat cars in a truck.

cars i beet. 40-100
2010 gt
03 m3
12 wrx
10 gti rabbit
honda b20 vtec
honda s2000
dodge 2500 cummins with same setup
07 duramax same setup
rx7 turbo
lightning with pulleys intake tune
ss blazer
04 GTO

hope that helps.

Do you have something to use for guages. If not it wouldn't be a bad idea to get something so you can keep an eye on temps.

im using my friend Edge CTS until he sells it. to be honest the truck so far has not gone over 1700 egt temperature even towing the boat. IMO you dont need gauges unless you got a heavy foot from light to light or your towing heavy objects everyday.

1700 degrees???? The only time mine ever even got to the 1500's was when I ran it at the track. That's mine hardly ever goes over 1000 degrees but I dont have my low boost fueling turned all the way up so that may be why.

1,700 degrees is way hotter than I would feel comfortable with!! Even if I get into it I never break 1,000 and I set my de-fueling at 1350 to be safe! I run the HD on mild and low boost on 2-3 and it’s got more than enough sack for me. I’m still fairly new to diesels but I would try to stay away from those high temps being that aluminum melts at just over 1,200 but this is just my opinion. Also I know that it has to be exposed to that temp for a fair amount of time but in any regards I’m just trying to be helpful so you don’t destroy your truck.

I havent seen 1,000 since before I deleted. I get mid/high 900s gunnin' er up a long hill.
I personally think gauges are never a bad idea, regardless of driving style..
