Hello everyone,

I deleted my 6.7 a long time ago to avoid this issue, but I’m currently 300 miles from home with some friends of mine hauling cattle back from a livestock show. We took their stock 2015 6.7 and we just got a “exhaust filter over limit” warning, check engine light, and wrench light. Can someone give us some advice on what we need to do to get home safely and without damaging the truck? The message was cycling periodically with “drive to clean exhaust filter” -so should we keep driving it in hopes that it will complete a regen, or should we do something else?

On our work trucks I was always told try to maintain at least 45 mph and let it burn off. If you are in stop and go traffic and idling a lot it won't be able to enter the parameters to clean the filter. This is from the mechanics that worked for the same company as me at the time and our trucks idled quit a bit.
