I just got my first truck, 03 6.0 350 FX4. I am wanting to level the truck, just wondering what i need, 2" or 2.5"/2.8"? I am pretty certain suspension-wise the truck is stock with rancho shocks.

I measured the wheel gap front and rear, Rear was 12" and front 8". Dont i have to get a 4" level kit for it to sit level?

Here she is:

4" seems like alot, maybe not for a 350.

what are you wanting, a leveled truck or a good riding leveled truck.....

for starters, you have three basic options
1. shackle and hangers
2. add a pak ( mini pak is better )
3. new springs

each has its plus sides...... shackles and hangers increase travel, therefore require longer shocks, but maintain stock ride quality

add a pak, increase overall height, but not travel, maintain factory length shocks

new springs do both, require shocks, and depending on manufacturer can be very stiff.

now, going over 2" should require an adjustable track bar to recenter the axle.
over three will need a pitman arm and a track bar bracket ( minimum, adjustable would be better ) reason being , you dont wont steering to bind and you need you draglink and track bar to be parallel...

hope this helps, im sure it sounds more confusing than it really is.

yes, you are incorporating hard parts and spring spacer. just dont add blocks to the front ( EVER ) MAKE SURE the mini pak is a reputable maker that use spring steel, and is multi leaf design this will increase comfort and not limit any travel.
also , do some homework as to whether or not, steering needs to be addressed. i know you will need an ADJUSTABLE track bar, but if you need a pitman arm as well, make sure you also purchase a drop track bar bracket to match angles.
