I have this problem on my 2010. I am told it is excess grease coming off of the adjustable pedal assembly. It is definitely more grease like than fluid. I have had the problem intermittently for about 1 1/2 years.
So a couple of weeks ago, I got a P0181 code out of the blue. I replaced the fuel temp sensor sensor with a Ford OEM sensor. Everything was great for 10 days then the code came back yesterday morning.
Truck is deleted with no limit SCT X4 SOTF tunes

I have a 2011 F250 and just got the EZ LYNK programmer and now my truck is throwing a P0181 code. The EZ LYNK is telling me that it is a fuel pump failure but I have read other posts that says it is a fuel temp sensor. I am confused. The truck runs fine with Tyrant tunes with the SOTF switch.
I hear a ticking noise in the left wheel well at idle when outside the truck, its not in any rhythm. To me it sounds like the sound metal makes when it is cooling down but at faster intervals. Truck runs fine.

my third appointment with third dealer is thursday... they other two say its normal. any ideas what this whine could be? when the noise is there i notice maybe 5 to 10% loss of power and mpg lowers by approx 2... its not cleaning the filter or anything at the time...
