!!BOATIN' FOR A CAUSE!!

3rd Annual Lake Murray Boat Poker Run
Saturday June 21st, 2008

The Shrine of North America is known for its colorful parades, circuses, and clowns, but there is also a serious side to this international fraternity of approximately 500,000 men belonging to 191 Shrine Temples or chapters, throughout North America. For 75 years, the Shrine has operated a network of specialized facilities that treat children with orthopedic problems, burns, and spinal cord injuries, up to their 18th birthday, free of charge.

Below is a screen shot of a map of the poker run I made in Google Earth. The map shows exactly where each stop is and the route you need to take to get to them. I could not upload the file on the server, but would be happy to e-mail it to you. If you have a GPS on your boat, you can plug in the Lat/Long coordinates from this map and find where each one is no problem.

I have a flyer for the event I can e-mail you as well. Just leave your e-mail addy here or PM it to me and I'll get the map and flyer right out to ya.

I ALMOST forgot to mention that at the last stop there will be food/drinks/cash bar. $1 beers/$1 jello shots/$5 margaritas :thumb:

Here are the coordinates for each stop

Start: Big Bird's Landing

Hey man, the next get together is this saturday in Gilbert, SC at Mudrunninpig's house (Mike). We'll be doing a little bit of wrenching probably around noon on eachothers trucks. I'm installing a wicked wheel and possibly new brake pads/rotors.

If you're interested, check out the CPA (Carolina Powerstroke Association) section towards the bottom of the forum page. There's a thread in there about the GTG on the 26th. :thumb:
